The Tempest Piccolo is designed to go anywhere, and play under any conditions. This is a pocket wonder and plays like a dream. We make the body from a composite of grenadilla and nylon resin, as this new material is impervious to temperature and humidity. Thus, there is no danger of cracking and intonation is much more stable. Then we add French pointed keys and adjust the piccolo to cover on every note securely.
The best feature though is the sound. The hand cut headjoint is a bulb style with a high-rise embouchure. This piccolo has a sweet and dark sound that will certainly please the ear, and priced to bring a smile to any embouchure.
