This Olds Recording trumpet is a great example of the design work of the southern California company's abilities at their height. The serial number, 789xx, puts it in the late 1930s-early 1940s. With high copper content in the lead pipe and the bell and an offset second valve to accommodate for the length of the player's middle finger, this is a trumpet designed for studio work when studio work meant long days of playing on the sound stages of Hollywood.
